Winner of Stansons 'kids come to work' day - design a blind competition!

Sep 25, 2017

Stansons Group ran a successful 'kids come to work day' at their head office last month, where employees were allowed to bring their children into the office and show them what it is like to do a full days work across various departments.

The children learnt about estimating projects, health and safety, the sales process and the range of products and their features, but they were also tasked with designing their very own roller blind which was put out to vote by the public, with the winner receiving a mystery prize.

All the children used their imagination and came up with some great designs with unique features, including mind control operation and integrated LED lighting and Bluetooth speakers!

There could only be one winner and that was Amy Maddox, with her Henna-tastic design. Amy's design was made of silk with gold flakes and glow in the dark petals. This unique blind also incorporated an alarm that you could set that would raise the blind at a certain time.

Amy was presented with her mystery prize, which consisted of a young drivers experience, where at the tender age of 11 years old she is able to get behind the wheel of a car and have her very first driving lesson!

Well done Amy!
